This July, prepare to be haunted by Dead Whisper, a gripping throwback horror/thriller, and the feature directorial debut of Conor Soucy. Vertical has acquired the rights for North America and the UK/Ireland, ensuring that audiences on both sides of the Atlantic are in for a thrilling experience. The film debuts in select theaters on July 5, and will be available on demand, including platforms like AppleTV and Prime Video, starting July 9.

Dead Whisper stars Samuel Dunning, 2024’s breakout actor, and Rob Evan, a Broadway legend known for his roles in Les Misérables and Jekyll & Hyde, making his cinematic debut. The film follows the eerie journey of Elliot Campbell, a lawyer from Cape Cod who ventures to a mysterious island haunted by the possibility of reuniting with his deceased daughter, a reunion that could cost him his soul.

Shot in Provincetown, Boston, and Easton, Massachusetts, Dead Whisper combines emotional narratives with the nostalgic essence of classic horror. The film features cinematography by Ben Grant and an orchestral score by Nikhil Koparkar, funded by New Music USA’s Reel Change Grant.

As Conor Soucy notes, the collaboration with Vertical promises to deliver Dead Whisper to a broad audience eager for a quality horror throwback. This film is set to captivate viewers with its atmospheric tension and stunning visuals, making it a must-see for horror aficionados and newcomers alike.
