Warner Bros. Pictures has released the second trailer for director M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap. The story centers around a father and his teenage daughter who attend a seemingly normal pop concert, only to find themselves pulled into a dark and sinister event that turns their night into a fight for survival.

The film features Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills, and Allison Pill. M. Night Shyamalan not only directed but also wrote the screenplay. Production credits include Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock, and Shyamalan himself, with Steven Schneider serving as executive producer.

The visual and auditory elements of Trap are crafted by a team of industry veterans. Sayombhu Mukdeeprom, known for his work on “Call Me by Your Name,” serves as the director of photography, while Debbie de Villa, acclaimed for “The Hating Game,” handles production design. The film’s editing is by Noëmi Preiswerk, and its original songs are written, produced, and performed by Saleka Shyamalan, adding a personal touch to the soundtrack. Additional music is composed by Herdĭs Stefănsdŏttir, with Susan Jacobs overseeing music supervision. Costume design is by Caroline Duncan, and Javier Marcheselli is the VFX supervisor, bringing his expertise from “Dune.” The cast was selected by Douglas Aibel, known for his work on “Asteroid City.”

Trap will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, hitting theaters nationwide on August 2, 2024, with an international release beginning on July 31, 2024.
