Netflix is set to release a new documentary film about the infamous Menendez brothers, The Menendez Brothers, on October 7, 2024. Directed by acclaimed Argentinian filmmaker Alejandro Hartmann, known for Carmel: Who Killed Maria Marta? and The Photographer: Murder in Pinamar, this documentary revisits the 1996 trial that captivated the nation.

Lyle and Erik Menendez, convicted of murdering their parents, will break their decades-long silence, offering their own accounts of the trial and events that unfolded. The film features extensive audio interviews with the brothers, legal experts, journalists who covered the case, jurors, and family members.

With fresh perspectives from those directly involved, Hartmann aims to provide new insights into one of the most talked-about criminal cases of the late 20th century.
