Blumhouse has unveiled the new poster for Drop, an upcoming thriller directed by Christopher Landon, set to hit theaters on April 11. Known for his work on Happy Death Day and We Have a Ghost, Landon returns to the thriller genre with this latest suspenseful release, co-produced by Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes.

Drop follows Violet, played by Emmy nominee Meghann Fahy (White Lotus), a widowed mother embarking on her first date in years. Her evening quickly takes a dark turn when she begins receiving anonymous and increasingly disturbing messages on her phone. The situation escalates when Violet is informed that her family is being held hostage, forcing her to follow the instructions of her unseen tormentor, who ultimately demands that she kill her date, Henry, played by Brandon Sklenar (It Ends with Us).

The film also stars Violett Beane (Truth or Dare), newcomer Jacob Robinson, Reed Diamond, and Gabrielle Ryan as the restaurant’s staff and patrons caught up in the unfolding terror. Drop is written by Jillian Jacobs & Chris Roach, the writing duo behind Truth or Dare and Fantasy Island, and produced by Jason Blum, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Cameron Fuller.
