Summer is back at Hogsmeade and certain traditions have returned while a new one is born.

This weekend marks the return of Universal Studios Hollywood’s “The Nighttime Lights at HogwartsTM Castle,”. This spectacular seasonal experience is back at “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” to light up the summertime sky from June 24 – August 19 and September 1-3.

Every night from now to August 19th, “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” will shine brightly with an awe-inspiring spectacle that showcases the four houses of Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin and culminates with awesome beams of lights and fireworks that fan into the night sky. This is the same show as last year but with one new touch at just the right moment.

Video? SURE! We have video for you. But the next thing, well, you kind of have to be there to experience it.

BUTTERBEER ICE CREAM

Here’s the scoop: Butterbeer ice cream is now being served at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Hollywood, arriving just in time for summer.

The rich palate-pleasing Butterbeer-flavoured hard pack ice cream is a delightful and delicious new addition to the menu of Butterbeer items currently available, including such Butterbeer favorites as traditional, frozen and hot beverages, as well as Butterbeer Potted Cream and Butterbeer Fudge.

Reminiscent of butterscotch and shortbread, Butterbeer ice cream is perfectly fine-tuned as a cool Hogsmeade treat and will be served at various carts located within Hogsmeade and at Three Broomsticks.

Gathering inspiration from historic British taverns, the adjoining Hog’s Head pub features original draught beers and spirits created exclusively for the land, including Hog’s Head Brew, Dragon’s Scale, Wizard’s Brew and Fire Whisky.  Also available are Pumpkin Fizz and Gilly Water and the three Butterbeer choices: traditional, frozen and hot.

So, who’s ready to hop aboard the Hogwarts Express with us to stay busy until Halloween Horror Nights?
