Massive first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Season 2 is set to officially launch on February 25th, and along with it, the new Zombies experience: Outbreak. From the launch of Season Two on Thursday, February 25 at 10 am PT to Thursday, March 4 at 10 am PT, you can play a selection of Multiplayer and Zombies content, including the all-new Outbreak experience, for free as part of the game’s new Free Access Week.
Synopsis: This brand new, large-scale Zombies experience continues the Dark Aether story, where the agents of Requiem are thrown right in the heart of the Ural Mountains of Russia. As Requiem continues to fall behind in the arms race against Omega Group, various regions in the Ural Mountains have recently become Dark Aether outbreak sites.
The player, along with up to three other Operators, will land dead center in this new, massive Outbreak zone, and will have to fight to clear areas, all while surviving waves upon waves of terrifying zombie hordes. Luckily, players are equipped with new vehicles and weapons to help succeed in their mission. For example, players can escort a new Rover that has the ability to detect dimensional portals, or may even use a satellite tracker to seek out and eliminate the most elite enemies.
As they continue to show off their new operator skins, such as Wolf: NATO and Rivas: NATO, your mind wanders: How deep does this story go? Especially since this follows the storyline of the last map released, Firebase Z.
Is that a new weapon I see? With this new season coming out tomorrow, the new SMG and Assault Rifle, the LC10, FARA 83 are going to be put to the test on these new forms of zombies. I mean, come on, you’re going to have to have a lot of firepower to take down these new mech suit Zombies.
Also with the addition of jump pads, you’ll be able to get away if you’re in a pinch, but never forget your objective: Fight, survive, and get your Rover to the stable dimensional standpoint so you can set off your extraction rocket!
