Momentum Pictures has just recently announced a modern spin on a theme as old as horror itself with The Possession Experiment. It stars a very impressive cast including Chris Minor (Edge), Jake Brinn (Glimpse), Nicky Jasper (Nocturne), KT Fanelli (Pretty Bad Girls), and horror-icon Bill Moseley getting way out of his comfort zone playing a Catholic priest. The story follows Brandon, a college student with a penchant for the supernatural, as he concocts a plan to get an A on his final theology class project. He sets out to investigate the site of a multiple homicide with 3 classmates as they discover the murders were an attempted exorcism gone horribly wrong. He decides to go back to the site to perform an exorcism of his own, bringing with him a trained exorcist to make sure everything goes according to plan. As this is the age of social media, all of this is being funded through a Kickstarter-esque crowdfunding website and is to be streamed live on the internet for all his anxious donators. Can Brandon fix what went so awry years earlier? Can he get his A without losing his soul in the process? Check out the film when it releases on December 6th to find out.
