Following its world premiere at FrightFest 2024, CARA, the psychological horror film from writer-director Hayden Hewitt, is set for a digital release on February 17, 2025, through Reel 2 Reel Films. The film stars Elle O’Hara as Cara, a young woman determined to avoid being sent back to a psychiatric hospital where she endured severe abuse—at any cost.

The cast also includes James Dreyfus (House of the Dragon), Laurence R. Harvey (The Human Centipede 2), Michaela Longden (Book of Monsters), Julie Hannan (Supernova), and Johnny Vivash (How to Kill Monsters).

Cara follows its titular character as she struggles with past trauma, an unstable living situation, and a failed career as an online sex worker. Convinced that a conspiracy is forming to return her to Sunnyside Hospital, she devises a drastic and violent plan to ensure her freedom, leading to devastating consequences.
