With Saint Kotar’s appearance at Gamescom 2021 and its Alpha and Beta tests launched for Kickstarter backers, SOEDESCO and developer Red Martyr Entertainment are proud of how far they’ve come. Today, SOEDESCO confirms that the point & click psychological horror detective adventure Saint Kotar will launch on October 28th, 2021 for PC and will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG.
Recently, Saint Kotar appeared at Gamescom 2021, the annual trade fair for video games that was held virtually last month. From August 25th to August 29th, Saint Kotar was featured in the event’s Indie Arena Booth Online, where players were able to visit the booth to find out more about the game.
As part of reaching their Kickstarter milestones, Red Martyr Entertainment also launched Saint Kotar’s Alpha and Beta tests. Here, Kickstarter backers were given exclusive access to the Alpha and Beta versions so they could provide their feedback for the final build of the game.
In this story-and-choice driven game, you switch realities between Benedek and Nikolay, two God-fearing men in search of their missing relative. Set in a cursed valley in rural Croatia, the occult-ridden town of Sveti Kotar will send you shivers down your spine – as gruesome murders, devil worship, witchcraft, and an unknown presence plague the town. Now it’s up to you to uncover the town’s horrifying secrets and get to the bottom of the story.
Review of Trailer:
In the eerie teaser trailer, we see several dark, ominous environments. The crows cawing in the background, the fog lingering over a lake, all narrated by familiar religious passages. As the music heightens, becoming more erratic, horrifying images flood the screens. A truly twisted take with religious symbolism. It looks borderline disturbing – and that’s intriguing. I’m interested to see more about this game, and am especially excited that it’s releasing just next month.
