We’ve all seen what Keanu Reeves is capable of when mobsters steal his car and kill his dog (John Wick). But what happens when the government tries to take his entire family away? Whatever does happen…we can assume it doesn’t involve bargaining and talking it out. Reeves returns to silver screen fury in the upcoming film REPLICAS.

Synopsis: After a car accident kills his family, a daring synthetic biologist (Reeves) will stop at nothing to bring them back, even if it means pitting himself against a government-controlled laboratory, a police task force, and the physical laws of science.

This looks likes your standard action film, which let me be clear is a very good thing. The plot seems simple and straightforward enough, and there are definitely many opportunities for surprise twists. But the anticipation for this film comes not from complicated plots or from touching dialogue. We want to see Keanu shredding people with action-packed sequences, and this film looks like it will deliver just that.

REPLICAS is directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff and along with Reeves, stars Alice Eve, Thomas Middleditch, and John Ortiz. REPLICAS hits North American theaters January 11, 2019.
