The last action/horror movie of Roberto D’Antona ROAD TO HELL (“Fino all’Inferno”) finally debuts its trailer online. The trailer was first presented at Cartoomics 2018, the big convention of comics, cinema and entertainment based in Milan. The trailer is available for viewing on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. The trailer shows only a little sample of the amazing film and it promises to mix various cinematographic genres in one pot, visually inspired to the action hollywoodiano cinema from the 80s. Even the official poster, published in recent days, and the music of the composer and multi-instrumentalist Aurora Rochez recall the glorious atmospheres of the ‘80s.
A group of robbers fleeing to a new life, crossing their path with a woman, with her son and with the tragic curse they bring with them. a criminal boss and a mysterious organization of unscrupulous men, to help them, an ex-policeman with hasty methods and a jealous girlfriend. The escape will soon turn into a mad rush to hell to save the life of the child and the fate of the world.
“I take the inspiration from the films of my childhood – explains the director and protagonist Roberto D’Antona – especially from Big Trouble in Little China. Adventurous stories of heroes and anti-heroes that, searching a redemption, were capable of the most titanic undertaking. These are the stories that have shaped me the most and to which today I want to pay tribute”. ROAD TO HELL is set to hit Italian theaters in August.
The trailer shows robberies, sex, violence, ambiguous characters, ruthless and desperate escapes in campers, with a final twist that winks at horror. “The novelty is that the film will be released in cinemas throughout Italy and Switzerland in August 2018 – adds D’Antona – but, in recent weeks, we have also signed an important contract for distribution abroad”. ROAD TO HELL was produced entirely by the L/D Production Company, an independent production company founded by D’Antona together with the professional partner Annamaria Lorusso, and distributed in the Italian and Swiss cinemas by Movie Planet Group, as the recent The Wicked Gift, will find later distribution with CG Entertainment in Italy and Shoreline Entertainment abroad.
