Severin Films commemorates the 100th birthday of legendary cult filmmaker Edward D. Wood, Jr. with the release of HARD WOOD: The Adult Features of Ed Wood, a three-disc Blu-ray set that showcases some of Wood’s most notorious ‘70s adult films. This collector’s edition brings three of Wood’s explicit features, including Necromania, The Only House in Town, and The Young Marrieds, fully restored and uncut from original source materials for the first time.
Known for his unique and unconventional style, Wood is celebrated for low-budget cult classics like Plan 9 from Outer Space and Glen or Glenda?, and his later career shifted toward adult cinema. The HARD WOOD set includes Necromania, with both its hard and soft versions, featuring actors Rene Bond and The Amazing Criswell. The Only House in Town, starring Uschi Digard, presents a surreal narrative filled with Wood’s trademark oddity, while The Young Marrieds, Wood’s final film, is available in both a hard version and an unreleased soft version.
