Shinsekai: Into the Depths, Capcom’s action-based deep-sea exploration game, is now available as a digital download for the Nintendo Switch for MSRP of $19.99.
As the last surviving human, players are submerged into the solitary struggle as they sink ever deeper into an aquatic world that has been left unexplored in Shinsekai: Into the Depths. Players must collect resources, craft new items, and upgrade their gear essential for advancing deeper into the depths of the abyss and ultimately escape a rapidly approaching ice age. While exploring this enchanting world and discovering its secrets held within mysterious ruins, divers must keep a close eye on their oxygen and pressure levels. In order to provide players with a unique and immersive new gaming experience, the development team of Shinsekai took an indie development approach. While over at Capcom Japan, developers rerecorded music and sound effects being played through submerged speakers to create an extra level of underwater realism to enhance the overall underwater atmosphere.
The all-new “Another Dive” time-challenged mode comes with two difficulty levels which is one of the several new features included with Shinsekai: Into the Depths for the release on Nintendo Switch. The also new “Jukebox Mode” is included as well. In order to confront a new monstrous threat, players must descend through a perilous maze as quickly as possible in “Another Dive”. Those wishing to truly test their bravery can also confront its Hardcore mode after completing “Another Dive”. This mode places the player in an antique diving suit with even more scarce resources to add extra pressure. The new “Jukebox Mode” gives audiophiles a break from the action to explore their favorite background music at any time. It also allows them to tinker with a variety of audio filters such as music depth.
In an upcoming free title update on March 26th, “Another Dive” and “Jukebox Mode” will be available for Apple ArcadeSM subscribers on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Apple TV.
