As summer blooms in Southern California… spooks still come out to play despite the heat. Jeff Schiefelbein and his team at Sinister Pointe Haunted Attractions just opened up a “little shop of horrors” in the city of Brea. It is a year round haven where fiends can find strange and macabre items to add a little touch of Halloween to their lives. From evil teddy bears, bats, a haunted mansion stretch portrait, faces in jar and many other oddities.
Sinister Pointe is known for keeping the Halloween spirit ALIVE all year long with various horror events and haunts. From Haunt Season to X-Mas Fear and most recently The Event. They premiered with Curiosities on Saturday June 20th, a shop open all year long for those who are seeking something spooky. Here is the sign with their business hours.
When you step into Curiosities you are entering a small part of the haunt world, a shop filled with things that nightmares are made of. Inside the shop, you are surrounded by monsters from horror films and the darkest parts of the imagination. You never know what you may discover in there on your next visit.
Curiosities is not only a place find oddities to add a spooky touch to your home or haunt, but also is a place where you can find great additions to your costume or character. May it be for haunt season, Halloween or just for fun… you can acquire masks, crazy contacts, and prosthetics. Perhaps even a little trinket that is hiding amongst the cobwebs may help define your character.
On opening day of this shop of horrors many horror fans and haunters congregated at Curiosities. Even a hearse showed up with the dead accompanying it. Attendees met the mascot of the shop… a mummified creature hybrid called Curious Coyote. He greeted everyone with his “sinister” presence. At Curiosities you can also take pictures at their photo booth to show your friends that you are in a world of the macabre and that Halloween is everyday.
You can pay a visit to this haunted shop when your dark heart desires within the hours on the sign I posted earlier in the article and get a little piece of Halloween before October.
