Having a baby in a convent is not as safe as it seems – as deemed in the new trailer for St. Agatha. The jarring horror film was directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III & IV) and stars Sabrina Kern, Carolyn Hennesy and Courtney Halverson.
Synopsis: In the 1950’s a pregnant young woman takes refuge in a convent to give birth to her baby. What she doesn’t know is that the convent holds great secrets and horrors. She is tested as she learns the twisted truths about the convent and the nuns who reside in it.
St. Agatha doesn’t look original, but it looks good. Creepy convent, nuns with secrets, a creepy figure – it’s been done before. But that doesn’t mean that St. Agatha won’t be entertaining or even scary. The film looks well shot with some great (and chilling) imagery. It seems to be a good bet for any horror aficionado.
St. Agatha will premiere in Theaters and On Demand and Digital HD on February 8, 2019. The film has not yet been rated.
