It is that time of year again! No, not Halloween. I know, I know. But we at HorrorBuzz have you covered! Really!  Introducing the 25 Days of Christmas Horror. Each day leading up to December 25 we will be offering you at least one blood curdling suggestion for festive horror fun.  Sometimes it will be a spooky little short, other times it will be viewing suggestions, and if you are good little monsters you may even have the chance to win Santa’s fabulous booty with fun giveaways! 

So, enjoy the 25 Days of Christmas Horror from HorrorBuzz! Here is your first delightful morsel.

Do you remember being a child at Christmas? Do you remember trying to stay awake to catch a glimpse of the jolly old red-suited elf as he gently places gaily-wrapped gifts under your decorated tree? Do you remember his sharp claws?

Wait–what?

“SANTA” is a Christmas-themed, short horror film with a different spin on the lore of Santa Claus. It revolves around two young children who are awake in their beds on Christmas Eve, hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa when he arrives. But when he does arrive… they find that he is not the loving, bearded, jolly old man they’ve come to expect…

With a brief running time of 90 seconds, “SANTA” tries to balance the mystic Christmas mood with the imagery and tension of the horror genre. It is directed by brothers Dionysis & Manos Atzarakis and was filmed in Greece on a rough budget of 200 Euros.  It’s a fun way to start this chilly season off right, and we hope you enjoy it!
