EDITOR’S NOTE: This was an April Fool’s joke but we sincerely hope nobody from Blumhouse got any funny ideas.

Halloween Universe to unleash relentless terror, merging every Halloween film, creating spin-off sequels.

In a surprise, Easter Sunday announcement producers of the new Halloween 2018 have doubled down, literally, promising to unleash a new world of terror for the legions of fans eager to return to Haddonfield when the new film comes out this fall. The Halloween Universe will take the rich tapestry of characters, kills, and suspense that only come from seeing Michael Myers, and Silver Shamrock, and the Strode Family tree running for cover.

“The Halloween Universe will blend everything that is good from all of the film’s into one world of unspeakable suspense and horror,” said John Carpenter, the franchise’s original creator. Carpenter explains that after seeing a rough cut of the upcoming Halloween (2018) the idea struck him.”I took one look at what David Gordon Green and Danny McBride were doing with the new movie and thought, ‘I’ve GOT IT!” The big idea, so to speak, is to connect every Halloween film ever made, in a logical throughline. From there producers plan on creating a new storyline that will take Laurie Strode, Daniel Challis, LL Cool J, Dr. Loomis, Jamie, and Sherrif Lee Brackett into a battle against the evil forces that want to end the spooky holiday.

While Halloween (2018) has wrapped principal photography, Reshoots are already happening to bring Rob Zombie’s version of Michael Myers into the new film as an additional threat to Laurie Strode. The new working title for the upcoming thriller, “Halloween Too” has been met with praise from studio marketing divisions.

Still from the upcoming Halloween Too.

“You can’t get scarier than two Michaels.” Says writer McBryde.”It just makes sense.” In response to possible backlash from the legions of fans that are awaiting a return to the well-oiled machine that is the original Halloween, McBryde states, “Look. I know what people are hoping to get. But this is an opportunity to give them MORE of what they want. Besides, I am the one in control here.”

We suppose we will take a very cautious, wait and see attitude with this recent announcement. Although, today, as we are unwrapping our tin foil covered chocolate eggs and scarfing down that Easter ham, let us be thankful that today is also April Fool’s Day and nothing should be taken too seriously.

Happy April Fool’s Day
