The independent horror film The Weedhacker Massacre is set to make its world premiere at the Golden State Film Festival on February 20. Blending slasher elements with dark humor, the film explores the chaos surrounding a low-budget horror production set in the same location where real murders occurred a decade earlier.

The story follows a cast and crew attempting to remake a failed horror movie, only to be met with a series of escalating problems—including unpaid wages, questionable performances, and the unexpected return of a masked killer.

The film features a cast including David Treviño (Rent Free, Storage Locker), Molly Sakonchick (Storage Locker), Bobbie Grace (Fear the Walking Dead, Velocity Girl), Sean Reyna, and Parrish Randall (Circus of the Dead, The Goldilocks). Notably, Allen Danziger, known for his role in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, stars as Sheriff Danzinshoos.

Danziger co-created The Weedhacker Massacre alongside Ray Spivey, who also wrote and produced the film. Jody Stelzig directs the project, with Danziger serving as executive producer. The film runs for 1 hour, 35 minutes, and 36 seconds and will not be rated by the MPAA.
