Until Dawn

Part psychological horror, part choice-based morality tale, Until Dawn is the horror-lover’s answer to Life is Strange. 

Boasting a cast of household names like Rami Malek, Hayden Panettiere and Peter Stormare, Until Dawn sees you controlling each one of the eight high school pals in their haunted cabin in the woods. The game from developer Supermassive Games sees the gang face a mystery murderer and some bizarre creatures. With you in control, the choice system ensures that none of them do anything stupid. No looking back, no tripping over nothing: these guys are staying alive. Right?

Dead by Daylight

Hunt or be hunted in this purgatory nightmare that is Behaviour Interactive’s Death by Daylight. A hunted, run around the arena turning on generators to open the exit and get away from the deranged killer. As the killer, do what killers do. Kill.

But Death by Daylight’s best selling point is its various bad guys. The game offers a myriad of classic horror icons to run from, such as Freddie Kreuger, Leatherface, Demogorgon, Ghostface and Michael Myers.

Resident Evil: Village

The wait is almost over for a Resident Evil multiplayer. Once again delayed until next year, we wait with bated breath for the horror multiplayer. 

Initially promised to be released alongside Resident Evil: Village, Capcom have delayed the multiplayer option, which at least gives hope for an unbroken game. 

Players are said to battle each other in third person as some of your favorite Resident Evil characters like Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kenney and Nemesis in a combat arena based on the Racoon City Police Department from Resident Evil 2.

Deceit

Deceit is a game that will have you distrusting the very people you hold dear. Developer Baseline’s psychological horror has you running for the exit with your survivors, but are they exactly what you’re running from?

There is an infected beast lurking in the shadows, and it has spread its disease to three other players. Playing as the beast, you must hunt down the survivors, but you’re vulnerable to weapon’s they have found around the arena, so you’ll have to plan your attack well and trust your instincts.

White Noise 2

White Noise 2 is a paranormal horror from developer Milkstone Studios that sees you playing as the monster or the prey. Stalk and hunt your prey as the blood-thirsty monster, keeping out of the light with your supply of dirty tricks. As the band together to dissect clues and oddities happening around you in a bid to destroy the monster before it kills you. 

In an odd twist, if the creature does kill you, you can come back as a ghost to help out.
