The theatrical trailer for Don Capria’s upcoming horror film Director’s Cut has been released, offering a glimpse into the film’s 80s and 90s slasher-inspired narrative. The movie will premiere in select cinemas on October 31st, with a VOD release to follow.
Director’s Cut stars veteran actor Louis Lombardi (The Sopranos, Suicide Kings) as a sociopathic filmmaker manipulating a punk band’s ambition for fame. The story follows a Long Island punk band, lured by the promise of a free music video, as they journey into the Pennsylvania woods. After an evening of partying with their charismatic director, the band wakes up to find that their project has taken a disturbing turn. The director, consumed by rage and obsession, transforms their video shoot into a terrifying snuff film.
Having premiered at the Chicago Horror Film Festival, Director’s Cut will next screen at the Bushwick Film Festival before its exclusive Halloween theatrical release.
Director’s Cut, written and directed by Don Capria, features a cast including Lucy Hart, Danielle Kotch, Tyler Ivey, and Haley Cassidy, alongside Lombardi.
