Universal CityWalk Hollywood is marking Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary with the launch of exclusive, limited-time menu items at the Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe, along with a new line of themed merchandise at the recently opened Sanrio Smile Shop. From November 1 to December 31, fans can indulge in themed treats and shop for unique collectibles celebrating the global icon.

The Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe, known for its charming, grab-and-go menu, is adding special 50th-anniversary items, including a cookie sandwich, an anniversary cake, and a sparkling strawberry drink with coconut cream foam. Created by Universal Studios Hollywood Executive Chef Julia Thrash, these new items add to the cafe’s popular lineup of Hello Kitty-themed sweets and signature drinks.

Just next door, the Sanrio Smile Shop offers a curated selection of Hello Kitty merchandise. Fans can explore limited-edition 50th-anniversary items, from t-shirts and plush toys to mugs and backpacks. The shop also carries themed merchandise celebrating the Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe, such as logo aprons and magnets, allowing fans to bring the cafe experience home.

In honor of her 50th anniversary, Hello Kitty will appear in a soft pastel pink dress at the Animation Studio Store within Universal Studios Hollywood, welcoming guests for photos and meet-and-greets. For fans looking to immerse themselves in all things Hello Kitty, this celebration at Universal CityWalk is a must-visit.
