Universal Orlando Resort has unveiled an exclusive preview of its newest attraction, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, set to open on May 22, 2025, within Universal Epic Universe.
For the first time, fans will step inside the British Ministry of Magic, a highly detailed recreation featured in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. The ride promises an immersive experience with advanced technology, blending storytelling, thrilling environments, and action-packed sequences.
Guests will witness the trial of Dolores Umbridge, exploring iconic settings like the Ministry atrium, Umbridge’s opulent office, and other departments. Highlights include:
- Métro-Floo Transportation: A unique mode of travel inspired by the Floo Network from the films, taking guests from wizarding Paris to the Ministry lobby.
- Ministry Atrium: Featuring a restored Fountain of Magical Brethren statue, enchanted weather ceiling, and endless offices, setting the stage for Umbridge’s trial.
- Magical Lift Ride: An omnidirectional vehicle seating 14 guests, propelling them in all directions as they chase Umbridge through various Ministry areas.
- Immersive Details: Fans will encounter interdepartmental memos, Daily Prophet issues, and belongings from beloved characters.
The attraction will also showcase locations like the Magical Archives, the Department of Magical Creatures, and the Time Room, filled with Time-Turners and other magical artifacts.
In addition to the ride, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic will feature themed dining, retail experiences, a live show (Le Cirque Arcanus), interactive wand magic, and more.
