In one of our favorite annual traditions, Universal Studios Hollywood recently held its 19th annual “Day of Giving,” bringing together employees and community partners for a meaningful day of service and philanthropy. As part of the event, the theme park welcomed 300 homeless children, partnering with Operation School Bell, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential resources for underserved youth.
It’s a beautiful way for Universal Studios Hollywood to reach out to the community to give back and support so many in southern California.
The children received an array of much-needed items, including school uniforms, shoes, books, backpacks, and toiletries. Afterward, they spent the day exploring Universal Studios Hollywood, enjoying attractions like SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and the Studio Tour.
The “Day of Giving” is an integral tradition at Universal Studios Hollywood, aiming to inspire employees and support local organizations through its in-house Discover A Star Foundation. This year’s event extended its reach to include partnerships with other non-profits, such as LA Regional Foodbank, Tree People, and Junior Achievement, to enhance community impact across Los Angeles.
