Universal Studios Hollywood is set to transform into a holiday wonderland starting Friday, November 29, 2024, and will continue the festivities through Monday, January 6, 2025. With celebrations spanning the park, guests can look forward to seasonal transformations, including a first-ever holiday overlay at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™, the return of “Grinchmas™,” and “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™.”
The Mushroom Kingdom at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD will come alive with holiday cheer as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad join in the festivities. A towering tree with a Super Star topper, festive wreaths, and two playful snowmen sporting Mario and Luigi hats will provide perfect photo opportunities. Guests can also shop for holiday-themed merchandise and savor seasonal treats at Toadstool Cafe.
“Grinchmas” will once again take over Universal Plaza, bringing the whimsical world of Who-ville to life. Visitors can enjoy lively performances by a Who-inspired doo-wop quartet, nightly tree-lighting ceremonies beneath a 65-foot Grinchmas tree, and interactive activities like story time with Cindy-Lou Who and craft stations for personalized ornaments. Fans of the Grinch will also have opportunities for memorable photo ops and to mail postcards of good deeds from the Who-ville post office.
In Hogsmeade™ village, “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will offer a magical holiday experience. The Frog Choir will perform holiday songs, and shops will sell unique wizarding gifts and treats. As evening falls, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts™ Castle” will light up the sky with an impressive projection show accompanied by music from the Harry Potter films.
The holiday spirit will extend beyond the theme park to Universal CityWalk, where a 40-foot Christmas tree with 200,000 LED lights will light up the plaza. Live music, DJ performances, and street entertainment at 5 Towers will bring even more energy to this festive celebration.
With admission to the holiday events included in the park ticket, Universal Studios Hollywood promises a comprehensive experience to mark the season.
