The Unnamed Footage Festival (UFF) has unveiled the first wave of films for its upcoming 8th edition, set to take place from March 25–30, 2025. The festival, known for showcasing found footage horror, faux documentaries, and in-world camera storytelling, will feature world premieres, new releases, and encore screenings at multiple San Francisco venues, including the Balboa Theater, 4 Star Theater, and Artist’s Television Access (ATA).

Festival Highlights and Special Screenings

The event will open with a special screening of Kōji Shiraishi’s NOROI: THE CURSE at the Alamo Drafthouse New Mission Theatre’s Terror Tuesday on March 25. The following night, March 26, attendees can join a pre-festival mixer and special screening at the ATA in San Francisco’s historic Mission District.

UFF’s annual Recalibration Party will take place on March 27, offering guests a chance to meet the festival team and experience never-before-seen films in a communal setting.

Feature Films and Premieres

The core of the festival, running March 28–30, will showcase three days of immersive horror storytelling, including:

  • SOLVENT – The latest feature from Johannes Grenzfurther (MASKING THRESHOLD, RAZZENNEST).
  • I DON’T LIKE IT HERE – World premiere from Robbie Smith (GRIEVE).
  • WHAT HAPPENED TO DOROTHY BELL? – A Fantastic Fest alum.
  • TINSMAN ROAD – World premiere from Robbie Banfitch, the filmmaker behind THE OUTWATERS.
  • LEECH – A live encore screening of David Dawson’s character study, following its reception at UFF24HR24.

With a lineup that blends established creators and emerging voices, UFF8 aims to deliver an engaging selection of in-world-camera horror that lingers beyond the screen.
