The third reich is a horror trope that filmmakers just can’t resist. They are the perfect bad guy because there is no conceivable way to like them. Writer Director Andrew Jones has seized on this idea and thrown in werewolves to spice things up in his upcoming film, Werewolves of the Third Reich. In Germany at the height of World War II, a ragtag group of American soldiers discover Doctor Mengele’s diabolical plan to create an unstoppable army of Nazi werewolves.

I mean, really, why not? Frankenstein’s Army was pretty much brilliant. They would have to pull this off correctly though. What the trailer gives us is very “Inglorious Bastards” with a hint of American Werewolf in London. Essentially we have sharp-lookin’, Nazi-hatin’ American soldiers trouncing through the fatherland looking for the vile political monsters while a camp facilitates medical experiments.
