Dark Star Pictures recently announced its acquisition of the US and Canadian rights to the eagerly awaited horror film, Wineville. Set against the backdrop of the 1970s, this narrative marks the directorial debut of Brande Roderick, who also stars in and produces the film. As Cannes Film Festival 2024 approaches, Wineville is slated for a dramatic September release in select theaters, with subsequent availability on VOD, digital, and physical media platforms.

Wineville hopes to transport viewers to a haunting California winery, rekindling the traumatic past of Tess (Brande Roderick), a single mother drawn back to her childhood home following her father’s death. The winery, saturated with bitter memories and overseen by Tess’s stern aunt and cousin, becomes the setting for a chilling discovery. The murder that unfolds threatens to unearth the dark secrets that lie dormant beneath the vineyards. Tess must confront the legacy of her family’s sinister past to protect her son and escape the horror once more.

The film boasts a compelling cast including Carolyn Hennesy and Texas Battle, alongside newcomers like Keaton Roderick Cadrez.
