The expanding world of zombie survival game DayZ has just grown that much more, with Bohemia Interactive announcing that update 1.10 is officially live as of November 19th! Available on all platforms, this update brings more content that fans have been excitedly awaiting.
Probably the first thing players will notice is the return of the M3S truck, available both in a driving variant as well as the brand new static variants. Happen to crash the vehicle as you’re exploring the map? All vehicles may have increased engine durability when crashed into the environment, but players now have the option to repair said vehicle’s chassis with epoxy putty, or the engine itself with a pipe wrench. Unless, y’know…it’s completely totaled. On top of all that, players will now receive damage when jumping out of the vehicles.
Brand new shelters are now available in three different variants – stick, tarp, and leather. These will offer storage for your items, as well as protection from the elements. Different weather conditions will include particularly cold mornings, blazing hot afternoons, or more intense wind speeds. To assist players with these weather patterns, clothing stats have been rebalanced, creating more options for players to protect themselves from the dreary weather.
Leg fractures have returned, with new and improved features. Whether you jump from too high and receive fall damage, maybe even step in a bear trap, you can fracture your leg and attempt to fix it with a splint. However, failing to do so will hinder your movement, as well as cause strikes of shock damage.
Several smaller improvements have been made as well. If you want to read the full patch notes, you can read them here for PC, or here for consoles.
Last, but certainly not least, both DayZ and DayZ Livonia will be fully available to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, via backwards compatibility. Read more about it here.
