The Ax Wound Film Festival is truly unique in its own right, promoting a community of fans and female-identified filmmakers in the horror genre. Ax Wound makes its fourth resurrection Friday evening, November 9th  and runs all-day Saturday, November 10th 2018 at the Hooker-Dunham Theater & Gallery in downtown Brattleboro, Vermont.

This year is packed with a wicked variety of international film selections. Submissions include PARLOUR TRICKS, a dark quirky film of a seance that yields some calamitous results when clashing family members are over-eager to produce a will. PARLOUR TRICKS is directed by first-time director and American Mary actress Tristian Risk.

Award-winning director Kyra Gardner returns to Ax Wound with her latest zombie comedy, INKED. And the crowning jewel of the festival is to be the much buzzed about BRAID. A, “whimsically insane journey of madness and unnerving violence” directed and written by Mitzi Peirone.

Doors open to the public on Friday, November 9th at 7:30PM and Saturday, November 10th at 10:30AM. Expect free giveaways, raffles, vendors, workshops, presentations, and more, with percentages earned going towards the Hooker-Dunham and the Scleroderma Research Foundation.

You can purchase an All-Access wristband at the door or online now for $25.00 here. Tickets for individual film blocks and other programming is $10.00.
