Horror enthusiasts, mark your calendars! Beyond Fest is back with a devilishly thrilling lineup of films, rare screenings, and unforgettable events. Boasting a staggering 55 features, including 5 world premieres, 3 North American premieres, 7 US premieres, and 18 West Coast premieres, Beyond Fest promises to be an unmissable cinematic extravaganza. From September 26th to October 10th, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the spine-tingling world of horror and suspense.

This year, Beyond Fest is partnering with the American Cinematheque and presenting exclusively by NEON, promising horror aficionados an electrifying experience. The festival will be hosted at venues including the Aero Theatre, Los Feliz 3, and Regency Village Theatre, with all ticket sales contributing to the 501c3 non-profit film institution.

The excitement begins at the Aero Theatre, presented by NEON, where Beyond Fest opens with Gareth Edwards’ sci-fi epic, “THE CREATOR,” from 20th Century. The festival’s closing night promises a memorable treat with Kristoffer Borgli’s comedy-satire sensation, “DREAM SCENARIO,” an A24 release featuring Nicolas Cage in a career-defining performance.

Genre fans will be delighted to see Paul Mescal starring in two breathtaking stunners: “ALL OF US STRANGERS,” an acclaimed metaphysical romantic drama directed by Andrew Haigh, and “FOE,” a psychological drama helmed by Garth Davis, where he shares the screen with Saoirse Ronan.

Unarians are in for a treat with the World Premiere of Jodi Wille’s wild documentary, “WELCOME SPACE BROTHERS.” Additionally, presenting sponsor NEON brings two exceptional films to the festival: Justine Triet’s Palme d’Or winner, “ANATOMY OF A FALL,” and Kitty Green’s slow-burn outback thriller, “THE ROYAL HOTEL.”

But that’s just the beginning! Beyond Fest is a celebration of the best in genre cinema from around the world. Tyler Macintyre presents the World Premiere of “IT’S A WONDERFUL KNIFE,” a bloody holiday horror from Legendary Entertainment. Macon Blair reinvents the Troma classic with “THE TOXIC AVENGER,” featuring the return of the iconic mop-wielding hero. “V/H/S/85” reunites Beyond Fest alum David Bruckner and Scott Derrickson, while Joe Lynch delivers a hometown victory lap with “SUITABLE FLESH.” Prime Video and Blumhouse Television take us on a retro-slasher journey with “TOTALLY KILLER,” and Demián Rugna brings bone-chilling shock with “WHERE EVIL LURKS.” For those craving unapologetic violence, Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s “KILL” promises to deliver.

Beyond Fest is not just about new films; it’s a tribute to cinema legends. Box office king James Cameron will make a rare personal appearance for a screening of “THE ABYSS Special Edition,” followed by an extended conversation. Genre master Roger Corman will be celebrated with brand new 35MM prints of “ROCK’N’ROLL HIGH SCHOOL,” “PIRANHA,” “GRAND THEFT AUTO,” and “THE RAVEN,” along with a panel featuring Corman and longtime collaborators. Auteur filmmaker Michael Mann returns to discuss “MANHUNTER,” Guillermo Del Toro celebrates the 10-year-Anniversary of “PACIFIC RIM,” and director Brad Bird presents his beloved animation classic, “THE IRON GIANT.”

The festival also showcases iconic features through restorations, extended cuts, and special screenings. Highlights include 4K World Premieres of Michele Soavi’s “CEMETERY MAN” and “THE CHURCH,” the North American premiere of a 4K restoration of “THE RAID,” the NC-17 cut of David Cronenberg’s “CRASH,” and the 50th-anniversary screening of “THE WICKER MAN: THE FINAL CUT” with Britt Ekland in attendance. Additionally, the extended cut of Italian madness, “ADAM CHAPLIN,” receives its theatrical World Premiere, and FINAL DESTINATION creator Jeffrey Reddick joins for a special screening.
