Greetings, horror fans. Norman Gidney here, covering the latest from Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group. They have officially acquired Lost Joy, a new psychological suspense-thriller directed by Jordan Laemmlen. The film is set for release on March 18, 2025, and will be available on all major digital HD platforms as well as on DVD.
Lost Joy follows Jane and Jon, a couple seeking to mend their relationship while staying in a secluded cabin. Tension surfaces as Jane experiences unsettling visions and sounds that Jon cannot see. The sudden appearance of a mysterious man named Jack, who claims to share her visions, only heightens the uncertainty. As questions arise about trust and reality, Jane is left grappling with whom to believe before the truth is unveiled.
Written by Winter Bassett and Jordan Laemmlen, Lost Joy features Winter Bassett as Jane, Vincent Catalina as Jon, Jordan Laemmlen as Jack, and Alexander Stavrou as the Repairman. Produced by Bassett, Laemmlen, Joanna Fang, Annet McCroskey, and Alexander Stavrou, the film promises a tense exploration of isolation and doubt within a woodland setting. Laemmlen notes that every element was designed to hold viewers’ attention while creating an experience worth revisiting.
Freestyle Digital Media secured Lost Joy directly with the filmmakers and Robert Enriquez of Red Baron Management/Films. Mark your calendars for March 18, 2025.
