A new independent horror feature, Hellsgate, is now in development under the direction of Aaron Hawkins, with production led by Lydia Manson in association with Bill Diamond Studios. The film explores the violent inner workings of a manipulative cult and the undercover agent determined to dismantle it from within.

Hellsgate centers on Samantha Fromme, portrayed by Sushii Xhyvette, an FBI agent who infiltrates a cult led by Keith Appleson—an extremist determined to extend the mission once attributed to Charles Manson. As Samantha embeds herself deeper into the group, she encounters members carrying out increasingly dangerous assignments, including orchestrated murders driven by Appleson’s erratic leadership. Navigating this environment becomes a test of endurance and strategy as she works to gather intelligence and expose the operation.

The cast includes Bill Oberst Jr. as Director Sanat, adding another genre role to his extensive body of work. The project expands Hawkins’ growing portfolio, which includes Secret Lover, Evil Lurks, and a range of roles across independent film and television. His background in playing both villains and complex characters informs his approach behind the camera for Hellsgate.
