Troma Entertainment is loading up July 2026 with two releases for devoted Tromaholics. The studio has announced a Tromatic Special Edition Blu-ray of the 1973 cult classic Sugar Cookies alongside the home video release of their newest in-house production, Rise of the Super Tromettes.

Sugar Cookies is a landmark in Troma history: a 1973 softcore crime thriller directed by Theodore Gershuny, co-written by none other than a young Lloyd Kaufman — before he co-founded Troma — and produced by future Hollywood titan Oliver Stone, who was himself barely into his career. Starring Lynn Lowry and Mary Woronov, the film blends sleazy crime plotting with a campy sensibility that makes it a natural fit for the Tromatic Special Edition treatment. The reissue arrives July 14, 2026.
Rise of the Super Tromettes (2025), meanwhile, is classic Troma in spirit and execution. Directed by Mercedes the Muse, the film is set in Tromaville, where a mysterious virus begins infecting the men of the city. Out of the chaos emerges a female vigilante team — the Super Tromettes — who band together to confront the threat head-on. It’s the kind of proudly anarchic, low-budget genre filmmaking that Troma has championed for over fifty years.
Both titles are available for pre-order and planned for July 2026 release.
