Find Familiar Spirits, the horror-centric spirits label co-founded by Matthew Lillard (Scream, Five Nights at Freddy’s), has announced Saltspray — a limited-edition 90-proof Jamaican Rum accompanied by an original horror novella by Bram Stoker Award-nominated author Gemma Amor and bespoke label art by Italian illustrator Daniele Serra. Saltspray goes on sale June 23, 2026, exclusively at FindFamiliarSpirits.com and Seelbach’s.

The latest release under the Macabre Spirits brand continues the label’s model of pairing super-premium spirits with original horror fiction. Inspired by the coastal cliffs of Amor’s native England, Saltspray is described as a haunting tale of hidden secrets that are “creepy and monstrous but also intimate and all too human.” The rum itself is sourced from Hampden Distillery in Jamaica — a 90-proof pour with notes of island spice, honey, demerera, and warm apple on the nose, finishing with tropical fruit and a touch of funk.

Serra — a three-time British Fantasy Award winner for Best Artist and two-time World Fantasy Award finalist — painted the original artwork that appears both on the bottle’s label and the accompanying book cover, merging beauty and terror in a single image.

“When Gemma pitched us the idea for Saltspray, we knew it was the perfect time to take the plunge,” said Find Familiar Spirits co-founder Justin Ware (Bloodsucking Bastards). “Inspired by the cliffs of her native England, Gemma has written a tale about hidden secrets that’s creepy and monstrous but also intimate and all too human — just the way we like it.”

Macabre Spirits is the second brand from Find Familiar, following Quest’s End Whiskey. Previous Macabre releases include Rare, Fine & Limited, a sotol paired with a novella by Mike Flanagan, and Hell Is Not Mocked, a Texas whiskey with a story by Christopher Buehlman. The brand is also behind Ghost Face Vodka, due for nationwide release this fall.

Saltspray is available June 23, 2026, at FindFamiliarSpirits.com and at Seelbach’s.
