Dark magic is making its return to Universal Orlando Resort this fall, with familiar villains taking over both sides of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle returns to Hogsmeade for the first time since 2022, while Death Eaters will once again roam Diagon Alley.

Beginning September 5, Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle will transform Hogwarts castle on select nights through November 1. The nighttime projection show brings Dementors, Death Eaters, and other followers of Lord Voldemort to the castle using projection mapping, special effects, lighting, and music from the Harry Potter films.

Over at Universal Studios Florida, Death Eaters will appear throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley on select days and nights from August 27 through November 1. Guests may encounter Voldemort’s followers lurking through the shadows of Knockturn Alley during their visit.

Universal Orlando is also introducing new Dark Arts-themed merchandise for the season, including a Second Generation Interactive Wand modeled after Lord Voldemort’s wand. Guests looking to continue exploring the darker corners of the Wizarding World can also visit Borgin and Burkes in Knockturn Alley.

With Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle returning after a four-year absence and Death Eaters occupying Diagon Alley, both Universal Orlando parks will offer Harry Potter fans a chance to explore the darker side of the Wizarding World throughout the Halloween season.
