Thanksgiving takes a musical turn toward the macabre as TURKEYS! THE MUSICAL returns to North Hollywood to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Presented by Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group, Ian Michaels’ musical-dramedy will play for three holiday weekends in November, bringing singing turkeys, romance, and a mystery surrounding the annual disappearance of their fellow fowl.

Titled TURKEYS! THE MUSICAL: 10 Years of TURKEYS!, the production follows a rafter of singing turkeys as they investigate the truth behind the massive turkey disappearances that occur every year. With a premise that mixes love and Thanksgiving-themed terror, the show asks whether these curious birds are ready to discover what really happens during the holiday season.

The production features a book, music, and lyrics by Ian Michaels, with Brandon Slezak directing and Zombie Joe producing. The cast includes Megan Colburn, David Dickens, Ashley Deuell, Theresa Ford, Julianne Layden, Ian Michaels, Vivian Oxley, Jackson Sindayigaya, and Brandon Zicker.

TURKEYS! THE MUSICAL: 10 Years of TURKEYS! runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. from November 6 through November 21, 2026, at ZJU Theatre Group, located at 4850 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, California. The production is intended for audiences ages 17 and older and contains adult language and mature or potentially triggering turkey-themed content. The venue is wheelchair accessible.

For horror fans looking for an alternative to traditional Thanksgiving entertainment, this anniversary production offers a musical mystery with a decidedly unusual take on the holiday. Just remember: when a turkey starts asking questions about Thanksgiving, the answers might be more than anyone bargained for.
