Las Vegas Horror Show and Vegas Theatre Company are teaming up on Cringe, an all-ages Halloween comedy from creator and director Jana Wimer that runs weekends in October in Las Vegas.

The 50-minute production is a collection of fast-moving theatrical vignettes that range from creepy to ridiculous. The producers pitch it as Goosebumps meets the Garbage Pail Kids, with a side order of The Addams Family as conceived by Chuck Jones. Expect gross-out humor, visual punchlines, and semi-scary monsters, all built on the idea that embarrassment is terrifying. The show is recommended for ages five and up.

The creative team is the same group behind Abandon and Urban Death Vegas. Executive Artistic Director Daz Weller said the earlier show set a high bar for the company.

> “Abandon was a milestone for Vegas Theatre Company, breaking box office records as our most successful run yet,” said Daz Weller, Executive Artistic Director of Vegas Theatre Company.

Wimer said the show has been a long time coming.

> “I love scaring people, but I also love making them laugh,” said Jana Wimer, creator and director.

Performances are October 3 and 4 at 3:00 p.m. (previews), followed by October 10 and 11, October 17 and 18, and October 24 and 25, all at 3:00 p.m. Preview tickets are $15. General admission is $25 for ages 18 and older and $18 for those under 18.
