Brainstorm Media has released the official trailer for AFFECTION, a psychological horror film written and directed by BT Meza. The film is set to open in select theaters on May 8, 2026.

Starring Jessica Rothe and Joseph Cross, AFFECTION follows Ellie, a woman dealing with a condition that resets her memory. As her sense of reality fractures, she finds herself caught in a repeating cycle alongside a man who claims to be her husband. With each reset, Ellie must piece together fragments of her situation and determine what is real before her memory disappears again.
The film blends psychological horror with elements of body horror and science fiction, using its central premise to explore the lingering effects of trauma. As the narrative unfolds, Ellie’s attempts to understand her condition lead her closer to uncovering the truth behind her circumstances.
Julianna Layne co-stars in the film, which is produced by BT Meza, Bay Dariz, Austin Walk, and J.P. Ouellette. With its limited theatrical rollout approaching, the newly released trailer provides a first look at the film’s structure and tone.
AFFECTION is set to open in select theaters on May 8.
