Director Alex Phillips (All Jacked Up and Full of Worms) returns with Anything That Moves, an erotically charged, blood-soaked thriller set in the sweltering streets of Chicago. The film will make its New York premiere at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival on Friday, October 24, screening on 35mm, followed by appearances at the Chicago International Film Festival on October 25 and 26.

Described as an “avant-gutter psychedelic dream,” Anything That Moves follows Liam, a sex worker who, along with his girlfriend and business partner, navigates Chicago’s underbelly by bike—delivering both snacks and satisfaction to an array of clients. As the bodies begin to pile up, suspicion grows that the trail of violence leads uncomfortably close to their own bed.

The film reunites Phillips with a team of collaborators devoted to bold, unconventional horror. Produced with cult home video label Vinegar Syndrome, Anything That Moves features performances from adult film icons Ginger Lynn (The Devil’s Rejects) and Nina Hartley (Boogie Nights). Cinematographer Hunter Zimny (The Scary of Sixty-First, Funny Pages) captures the story on richly textured Super 16mm, while an original score by Cue Shop evokes the lush stylings of classic Italian composers such as Bruno Nicolai.
