Newly released stills offer an early look at BACKROOMS, the upcoming feature from director Kane Parsons. Set for an exclusive theatrical release on May 29, 2026, the film expands on Parsons’ original series with a cast led by Academy Award nominees Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve.
The story begins with a strange doorway discovered in the basement of a furniture showroom, setting the stage for a narrative that builds from an everyday environment into something far less predictable. The newly unveiled images hint at the film’s unsettling setting while keeping much of its premise under wraps.
Joining Ejiofor and Reinsve are Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, and Lukita Maxwell. The screenplay is written by Will Soodik, adapting Parsons’ original concept into a theatrical format.
