Brenton’s play reconstructs the final horrifying chapter in the story of John Reginald Christie, one of Britain’s most notorious mid-20th century serial killers, returning audiences to 1953 London for a visceral and unsettling dramatic account of Christie’s last days. The production is directed by the theater’s founder Zombie Joe, with a cast featuring Dale Sandlin, Karl Maschek, and Roger K. Weiss.
Zombie Joe’s Underground has built a dedicated reputation in the Los Angeles underground theater scene for work that pushes into dark, challenging, and deliberately uncomfortable territory. Christie in Love continues that tradition, combining historical fact with Brenton’s unflinching theatrical vision. The production is rated for audiences 17 and up and contains language and mature themes.
Tickets are $20 in advance at ZombieJoes.TIX.com and $25 at the door.
