Film Financier and Distributor Epic Pictures Releasing announced today the release of the multi-award winning anthology film The Dark Tapes. The film will have a limited engagement in Los Angeles on March 17th and will be available on VOD platforms April 18th.
The Dark Tapes promises to be a horrifying blend of terror and mayhem which takes the viewer on a twisted journey into the world of paranormal activity, demonic possession, and the supernatural.
The cast includes a who’s-who of genre talent: Cortney Palm (Sushi Girl, Zombeavers, Death House), Brittany Underwood (Nickelodeon’s Hollywood Heights), and Emilia Ares Zorayn (Amazon’s Bosch, V/H/S: Viral). The Dark Tapes was directed by Michael McQuown and Emmy Award winning make-up effects artist, Vincent J. Guastini (Requiem for a Dream, The Last of the Mohicans).
Epic Pictures handled the worldwide distribution (excluding North America) of Sundance’s scariest film, V/H/S and its sequel V/H/S VIRAL. They have theatrically distributed popular films such as Saturn Award winner, Big Ass Spider!, Rondo Award winner, horror anthology Tales of Halloween, Saturn, Ronda, SXSW, Fantasia winner and Sundance Favorite, Turbo Kid, festival favorite JeruZalem and SXSW favorite Nina Forever.
