IFC Films has announced Find Your Friends, a revenge horror thriller written and directed by Izabel Pakzad, will begin streaming on Shudder on June 12, 2026. The film marks Pakzad’s feature directorial debut and stars Bella Thorne, Chloe Cherry, Helena Howard, Sophia Ali, and Zión Moreno.
Find Your Friends follows Amber and her four best friends as they flee Los Angeles for a girls’ trip in Joshua Tree, only to find themselves unwelcome in a desert town simmering with quiet hostility. As isolation sets in and encounters with aggressive locals grow more threatening, festering resentments within the group begin to surface. What starts as a reckless escape spirals into a violent struggle for control and survival, with past wounds and present dangers colliding in a night that turns the trip into a revenge-fueled nightmare.
Pakzad — an Iranian-Greek American filmmaker, writer, and actor — previously directed the short film DON’T WORRY, IT’S GONNA BE OK (2022), an official selection at the Oscar-qualifying Raindance Film Festival and Hollyshorts, and the winner of Best Short Film at the L.A. Film Festival. The full cast includes Jake Manley, Israel Broussard, Harrison Sloan Gilbertson, and Chris Bauer alongside the lead ensemble. The film was produced by Allison Friedman, Andrea Iervolino, Luca Matrundola, Monika Bacardi, Gary Michael Walters, and Pakzad herself.
Early reviews have been sharply positive. “A blazing feature debut,” wrote William Earl in Variety. “Bound to be one of the most talked-about films of the year,” added J Hurtado of Screen Anarchy. Mary Beth McAndrews at Dread Central called it “a nasty little nightmare… a simmering stew of toxic masculinity and feminine rage.”
Find Your Friends streams on Shudder beginning Friday, June 12, 2026.
