Universal Studios Hollywood is introducing an all-original experience inspired by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter as part of its upcoming Universal Fan Fest Nights event. Titled Forbidden Forest: Search for the Hippogriff, the new attraction invites witches, wizards, and Muggles to venture into the Forbidden Forest on a mission to rescue the legendary creature.
Created exclusively for the limited-time event, the experience unfolds within a newly designed outdoor environment where guests will take part in a guided walk-through adventure. With direction from a Hogwarts Magical Creatures professor, participants will navigate the forest and encounter a range of magical creatures and familiar beasts including pixies, owls, spiders, and the unpredictable Monster Book of Monsters.
Along the way, guests will face a series of challenges designed to test their bravery and problem-solving skills as they work toward saving the Hippogriff.
The attraction is part of Universal Fan Fest Nights, an after-hours, separately ticketed event that celebrates fandom through immersive, in-world experiences created by Universal Studios Hollywood’s entertainment team in collaboration with industry experts. The event also features live entertainment, character encounters, cosplay opportunities, themed food and beverages, and exclusive merchandise.
Universal Fan Fest Nights will run for a limited 12-night engagement on April 23–25; May 1–3, 7–9, and 14–16, 2026. Tickets for the event are now available.
