Halloween isn’t canceled! The good folks at The Winchester Mystery House have announced an all-new evening experience for the autumn season. This new experience explores the notorious estate’s legends and lore. The Hallowe’en Flashlight Tour is the classic a self-guided flashlight tour reimagined with a terrifying new twist.
For the first time EVER in Winchester tour history, guests (with only a flashlight to guide them) will roam alone through the dark halls of the purportedly haunted Victorian mansion while listening to tales of former (and possibly current and disembodied) inhabitants. Tour hosts will be present throughout the house to ensure safety measures and social distancing guidelines are maintained. The Hallowe’en Flashlight Tour is all about what mysteries are lurking in the shadows after the sun sets on Winchester Mystery House and is not to be missed!
“Halloween is not just a time of year or a season but a state of mind. One that can never be canceled. And this year, we are inviting guests to celebrate it at Winchester Mystery House in a way never before possible – alone by flashlight and without a tour guide,” said Walter Magnuson, Winchester Mystery House General Manager. “We’ve gone back to basics – using the house as the star. The unsettling feeling of being alone in a darkened Victorian home, the fear of what could be around the next dark corner will set this year’s Halloween program apart from previous years. We are so excited to be able to keep our annual tradition of offering a quality Halloween experience but in a safe and compliant way.”
Tours are being offered select nights in October. Tickets range in price from $24.99-$54.99 and all tickets are based on timed-entry to allow for adherence to social distancing protocols. Tickets to The Hallowe’en Flashlight Tour are now available on Winchester Mystery House’s website. For those who prefer a more tame experience, daytime self-guided mansion and garden tours are also available throughout the month of October.
