Capstone Studios and Lionsgate have confirmed that Harriet Slater (Outlander: Blood of My Blood), Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), and Tom Brittney (Grantchester) will headline Fall 2, the sequel to the global survival thriller. Directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Jigsaw, Predestination), the film recently wrapped principal photography in Thailand and is scheduled for release in early 2026.
The screenplay was co-written by original Fall filmmaker Scott Mann and Jonathan Frank. Mann also returns as producer alongside Mark Lane and James Harris of Tea Shop Productions, with Capstone’s Christian Mercuri and David Haring. Production service partners Kaos Entertainment joined as executive producers.
In Fall 2, audiences meet Jax (Slater), who is struggling with the loss of her sister, Hunter. Seeking closure, she joins Luce (Thomas), Hunter’s daring friend, to attempt the notorious plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. When a rockslide strands them thousands of feet above ground on a fragile plank, the two must confront perilous challenges to survive.
The film builds on the success of the first Fall, which grossed over $20 million worldwide from a modest budget, earning critical and commercial acclaim and securing nominations including China’s Golden Rooster Awards. With both Fall 2 and Fall 3 already greenlit, the franchise continues to expand under the direction of Mann and the creative team.
