Yes kids, it’s time to jump back into the Farm to explore the dark nooks and crannies from which Haunt will crawl. Yes, we arrive at the Knott’s Scary Farm Haunt Tracker 2, closer, week after horrifying week, to the fog. Knott’s has announced every spine-tingling offering and we now wait. We will watch, week after week, as the park slowly depends into decrepit decay and mouldering madness of 13 haunted attractions, 4 scare zones and 2 shows. Let’s go!

Paranormal Inc., The Tooth Fairy,
Voodoo, Trick or Treat
All backstage, the four mazes, Trick or Treat, Paranormal Inc. Case #13 – The haunting of Hayden Hill, The Tooth Fairy, and Voodoo: Order of the Serpent, being installed now. Here we see a peek into backstage through fencing near the entrance of the park.
The Gunslinger’s Grave: A Blood Moon Rises
Out in the open is Gunslinger’s Grave. As it was last year, the old west is now overrun with Lycanthropes, aka Werewolves. The Grand Sierra Railroad has been shuttered for the season and building is moving along rapidly on this cowboys and monsters walkthrough.
Under the twisted steel of Silver Bullet, we can see that the walls are going up in the usual spots for the maze.

The Dead of Winter
Of course, we could stare at the outside of the Boardwalk ballroom all day and not see a thing that would indicate a maze was being constructed inside. That’s the current management’s MO and that’s cool. But one quick trip on the Sky Cabin and we get a few indications.
Just outside the backstage doors are some wooden flats awaiting installation. We know the maze will be completly redone with a new façade, new monsters, and a new ending but we won’t see anything until it is open.
One close look though indicated that Knott’s Spooky Farm is retuning and the Monster Masquerade Ball is getting installed. If you missed Spooky Farm last year, you are missing out. It was one of the most charming things we have ever seen. A lot more affordable than Disneyland’s Halloween Time or Mickey’s Halloween Party too.
Scare Zones
As far as Scare Zones go, we know that we won’t be seeing anything overtly hitting the park areas onstage until after Labor Day. Instead, lets take a look at the Camp Snoopy are a that will soon become The Hollow.
From within the fog, the legendary Headless Horseman and his army of the undead are ready to unleash a reign of terrorin the newest scare zone, The Hollow. Guests entering the frightful 6-acre area will be terrorized by the souls of fallen soldiers and local farmers that have escaped their shallow graves.
While Infected was a lot of fun here, we really missed this area of the park being a scare zone. With Infected: Black Ops being moved backstage, we are excited to see this New England style scare zone coming to this wooded terrain.
As far as Camp Snoopy goes too, we can’t wait to see the Great Pumpkin window decorations pop up in these windows again.
The Hanging®: Finding Gory
With the new stage all ready to go, we see The Hanging®: Finding Gory being constructed. The stage is enjoying an expansion and it looks as if the gallows will take center stage for the show.
Skeleton Key Rooms
We know that the Skeleton Key rooms will be mini experiences scattered throughout the park. We are now beginning to figure out where these rooms will be.
ZOZO
The highly anticipated ZOZO room will be in the former space of Windseeker, now called Fiesta Plaza. inside we see a rustic cabin room with the name, zoo on signs around the room.
Prey?
Tucked in the far corner of Camp Snoopy, we see a walled area, lanterns hanging overhead. Could this be the location for the Key room called Prey that arms guests with a singular, dim lantern with which twi make their way through the maze?
Slasher
Finally this large box arrived in Camp Snoopy. Could this be the location for the 80’s inspired room called Slasher?
Shadow Lands
Now we get to the really fun stuff. As the all new maze Shadow Lands is constructed, we get perfect views of the highly detailed façade under construction as well assume of the finale rooms. This Japanese themed walkthrough from designer Jon Cooke, is an samurai-themed journey through the spirit world on your way to your final resting place.
The beginning of the maze shows a dilapidated Japanese home in the middle of the woods.
The backside of the attraction shows stone walls and more detailed construction. We are definelty in for a treat people.
The Red Barn
Then there is the red barn. This nasty little creation from the two sickest maze designers Knott’s has on their staff will play as an ode to the grind house 70’s slasher flicks like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Last House on the Left. Grainy, grungy, and downright gross, this is something we are really looking forward to as well.
So peaceful outside. Yet inside an evil grows. Yeah. We couldn’t spot anything.
No Bloody Clementine?
Did anyone notice this? Among the returning mazes, nothing was said regarding the Calico Mine Ride’s overlay from last year, My Bloody Clementine. Does this mean that there will be nothing haunt related going into this venue?
That should do it for this weeks Knott’s Scary Farm Haunt tracker. Be sure to return next week as we cover more spooky delights and begin to see the lovely creep of Halloween take over Knott’s Berry Farm. See you all at the Knott’s Scary Farm VIP meet(Sept 24th).

I wish I could do the VIP night. Sounds amazing! Unfortunately, I live in NYC (i’m moving to So Cal but not until November). I hope you do it again next year!
Love your site! Keep up the great work!
