Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios have announced that Masters of the Universe will be released theatrically in the United States on June 5, 2026. The film will also receive an international theatrical rollout in June through Sony Pictures International Releasing.

Directed by Travis Knight, the live-action feature brings the long-running franchise back to the big screen. The story follows Prince Adam, played by Nicholas Galitzine, who is drawn back to Eternia after years of separation when the Sword of Power resurfaces. Returning home, Adam finds the planet under the control of Skeletor, portrayed by Jared Leto.

To confront the threat and restore balance, Adam teams with Teela, played by Camila Mendes, and Duncan, also known as Man-At-Arms, played by Idris Elba. The journey forces Adam to accept his identity as He-Man and confront the responsibility tied to that power.

The cast also includes Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, and Charlotte Riley, with Kristen Wiig providing the voice of Roboto. Drawing from a franchise that has spanned toys, animation, comics, and film for decades, Masters of the Universe represents the next feature release from Mattel Studios following the success of its recent brand-led projects.
