Midsummer Scream Halloween and Horror Convention has announced an exclusive advanced screening of The Jester 2, the sequel to the viral horror hit The Jester, during its after-hours event “The Party From Beyond” on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The screening is part of Epic Entertainment’s Dread Presents slate and will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center, home to the annual Halloween and horror convention running August 15–17.

Director Colin Krawchuk returns for the sequel and will be on-site to introduce the film. A post-screening Q&A, moderated by James Branscome, will provide attendees with insight into the film’s production and the evolution of its eerie central figure.

The Jester 2 follows teen magician Max on Halloween night as she faces off against a supernatural killer whose illusions have deadly consequences. Building on the cult following of the first film, the sequel aims to expand the narrative with a fresh setting and higher stakes.

“Midsummer Scream is the beating heart of horror fandom, and there’s no better place to unleash our first sneak peek of The Jester 2,” said Epic Pictures CEO Patrick Ewald.

The screening is open to guests holding either a Party From Beyond pass or a Gold Bat pass. The full Midsummer Scream convention includes over 300 exhibitors, live entertainment, the “Hall of Shadows” haunt zone, and panels from major horror industry names like Halloween Horror Nights, Paramount Scares, and Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group.
