Coming July 12th from Wild Eye Releasing, Model Hunger exposes the dirty, carnivorous underbelly of the modeling business. This marks the directorial debut of Debbie Rochon, Troma legend and star of over 300 films, including Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead and the upcoming Death House and features a soundtrack composed by Harry Manfredini of Friday the 13th fame.
Model Hunger is the story of former pinup model Ginny, played by star of Cat People Lynn Lowry, who has since lost her stardom to younger, more fresh-faced models. Ginny hasn’t taken rejection well and has turned into a revenge-seeking, bloodthirsty woman over the years. After a new couple moves in, they begin to notice strange things happening and grow suspicious of their new neighbor. Eventually, Debbie (Tiffany Shepis) has had enough and decides to investigate exactly what Ginny has been up to. It turns out she’s taken to a very particular diet, and Debbie’s nosing around has gotten in the way of her cannibalistic hunger and drawn too much attention to her ever-growing body count. Trapped in a deadly game, both women are determined to put an end to the other’s obsession.
The DVD release of Model Hunger will include feature-length commentary with director Debbie Rochon, deleted scenes, a Babette Bombshell short, Voltaire interview and much more.
